Maki Nakano & Riko Goto Maki and Riko,two Japanese artists who met in Paris in 2004, toured in Japan for 3 concerts last summer, playing T.Monk, O.Coleman, C.Mingus compositions together with their originals.
Their first duo album "Rossignols" was released last summer in Japan and is now available in France.

Maki Nakano


Maki Nakano Mako started learning how to play the saxophone together with Eichi Hayashi when she was 15 years old. Since 2002, she is studying together with Andre Villeger in Paris. She is often performing with Itaru Oki ( tp) and Daunik Lazlo ( sax). She is playing now with her own sax trio ( sax, double bass, drums).








Riko Goto


Riko Goto Riko started learning how to play the piano with Yoko Moriyasu when she was 4 years old. She moved to Finland in 1997 and starts getting acquainted to improvised music together with Iro Haarla. She sets up on her trio in 2002 and tours around Finland and Paris. Since 2003, she has been living in Paris and performes together with Alan Silva (double bass), Itaru Oki (tp) et Taca (accordeon).
