Hidehiko Kan "The last 2006 concert"


Now's the time to discover drummer Hidehiko Kan's Band at Entrepot for a last show in 2006 with special guest pianist Hiroshi Murayama

Hidehiko Kan Hidehiko started playing the drums since he was 14. It then had to opportunity to deal with and practise different approches and Jazz influences whether punk-rock, free Jazz, blues, polymorphic rock and most of Jazz streams/schools. Hidehiko, "Hide", is streetwise and has been around Paris Jazz club scene for long He played with celli player Alain Grange together with pianist Alexia Tchilakian trio, at Petit Opportun, a legendary Paris Jazz club managed by Bernard Rabaud at tne end of the 90's. Since Sept 94, he lead his own cool bop 4tet together with guitarist Max Mastella, trumpetist Julien Alour, and double bassist Clement Landais. They won together with saxophinist Jean-Paul Adam the best composition winning prize at Paris « Trophées du Sunside 2005 Trophy's ». Since January 2006, beyond his actities as a musician, composer and teacher, Hidehiko commits himself together with Alain Brunet and Daniel Min-Tung into the setting up of "Jazz France Japan" association so as to foster artistic exchanges between Japanese and French Jazz professionals. Hidehiko did play together with Philippe Chagne, Patrick Bocquel, Jean-Philippe Bordier, Jean-Loup Longnon, Cynthia McPherson, Anne Ducros, Laurence Allison, Elisabeth Caumont, Benjamin Legrand, Chris Dunglas, Pierre-Yves Sorin, Michel Perez, Michel Barbe, Edouard Bineau, Ludovic de Preissac, Frank Woeste, Giovanni Mirabassi…
